What's Happening May 5 - 6, 2012 - 75th Hindenburg Anniversary NLHS will observe the 75th Anniversary of the Hindenburg Crash on the weekend of Sat. & Sun. May 5-6, 2012. A special dinner commemorating this event will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Quality Inn, Rt. 37 and Mule Rd., Toms River. Event begins at 6 PM. Guest Speakers will include Dr. Horst Schirmer whose late father designed the aeronautics for the Hindenburg. Dr. Schirmer is one of only 3 people still living who flew on the Hindenburg. As other guest speakers consent to appear our newsletters will carry the information. A special room rate of $77.00 per room is available for those staying overnight. The package includes a complete full breakfast in the morning. Mention NLHS 75th dinner when making a reservation. Menu choices are beef, chicken and fish. Tickets are $40 per person which includes appetizers, entree, beverage and dessert. There will be a cash bar. Seating is limited so reserve early. Make checks payable to NLHS. On Sunday, May 6, 2012 NLHS will conduct a special 75th Anniversary Service at the Memorial Crash Site starting at 6:45 PM.
